CONTROL WITHIN 2005: three-hour long video registration

I conducted a series of experiments in which I examined the body and the way it moves. I dressed models in items of clothing which were connected, for example head to head or leg to arm, and accordingly forced the models into certain positions. The result was that the models had limited freedom of movement. I turned the camera on and observed the behavior of the models. How long would they be able to bear this?

The observations of the video registration:
+ To begin with, the models tried not to touch. As time passed, however, they started leaning, and resting on each other with their arms.
+ Hardly one word was spoken.
+ Their facial expressions became increasingly moody. Even though some of them even became angry, they did not walk away.
+ The models did not take breaks.
+ What was particularly noticeable was that if one person moved, others moved too (like a chain-reaction).

After the video registration I asked the models why they continued standing in their uncomfortable positions. Why did they not walk away? Why didn’t they even take a break?
Answers given most often:
+ I did not want to ruin the project.
+ My neighbor said I could not leave.
+ Everybody stayed, so I did the same.
